Appian Manufacturing Corporation is a privately held company incorporated in the State of Ohio, solely owned by Necco Inc., Japan — a well-established company founded in 1949 serving the high-temperature electric, vacuum, and ultrasonic heating furnace markets and the hydraulic piping components industries.
Established in 1990 to provide quality high- and low-pressure hydraulic lines to the construction equipment markets, Appian specializes in the bending and fabrication of mechanical, hydraulic, and lubrication tube assemblies meeting SAE, ASTM, and JIS specifications, and excels in made-to-spec OEM assemblies.
Conveniently and strategically located in Columbus, Ohio — the heart of the Midwest — our corporate and manufacturing facilities occupy 90,000 square feet in the South East Industrial Park. Customer products ranging from one foot to nearly twenty feet in length are easily maneuvered and processed within the facility.
From cutoff to welding to NDT testing to bending, finishing, and final packaging, Appian’s high attention to detail earns our customers’ excellent satisfaction. The name Appian is synonymous with engineering excellence. Claudius Appius, the Roman official credited with constructing the Roman highway system, enabled the Romans to conquer the world. The superior quality of these roads allowed Roman generals to dispatch their legions to the outskirts of the empire quickly and efficiently — and provided easy access to trading ports throughout the world.
The slogan “All roads lead to Rome” was literally true thanks to the genius of this ancient engineer. Many of these roads still survive today after 2,300 years, and the Appian Way which bears his name is still used by travelers.
